David Kamp's article in today's New York Times,
"Don't Point That Menu At My Child, Please." is a must read for anyone interested in raising children to eat well and sensibly. I abhor the idea of the children's menu, and always have. The food choices on those menus, of the chicken finger and hot dog ilk, are the last things I want Izzy to eat when we go out to dinner. When I see those menus coming toward our table, I automatically shoo the waiter away.
Hey, it's your old neighbor, Eileen ... we spotted each other in the park a couple of weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteSo I found your blog and love it! My kids are pretty good eaters, not at all married to the kids' menu and at least willing to eat a number of fruits and veggies. But they're not on the same plane as your sweetie. Keep the inspiring posts coming!
Eileen: I am so glad you found my blog and love it! Keep on reading. Good to hear that your kids are learning to eat well!
